How to turn text into video

The two kinds of text to video

• Shot generation — your text describes one shot, and a model renders original footage of it
• Script assembly — your text is a script, and a tool narrates it over stock clips and captions

Generation gives you footage nobody else has, in short pieces. Assembly gives you a longer finished video built from a shared library. Decide which outcome you want before choosing a tool.

Writing text a video model can render

A model renders what it can picture. Concrete nouns, one action, a named camera move and a named light source all help; abstractions, lists and instructions do not. "Explain our onboarding" is unrenderable. "A hand sliding a keycard across a reader, close up, cool office light" is a shot.

• One subject, one action
• Name the camera move: push in, orbit, tilt up, track left
• Name the light: morning window, neon, overcast, candlelit
• Add a look: 35mm grain, glossy product, anime, 3D render
• Leave out on-screen words — models render text unreliably

What to do with a long script

Do not paste it into a generator. Break it into the three or four shots the script actually needs, render those separately, then lay your narration over the cut. Long single takes drift and waste credits; three tight clips read as intentional editing.

When a photo beats any wording

Length and format

Render five to ten seconds per shot, in the shape you will publish: 9:16 for vertical feeds, 16:9 for YouTube and websites. Generating in the final shape keeps the composition the model built for you.
