4K video generator — AI clips in 4K and Full HD 1080p

Turn a sentence or a photo into a 4K AI video. Expivid renders at 3840×2160 when the clip deserves it and at 1080p Full HD when it doesn't, and it shows the exact credit price before you press generate.

What 4K actually buys you

4K is 3840×2160 — four times the pixels of 1080p. That detail shows up in fabric, text, skin, water and anything the camera moves slowly across. On a phone scrolling a feed, social apps compress it away, so the same clip at 1080p looks almost identical once posted.

  • Worth 4K: website heroes, TV and large-screen playback, product detail, a master copy you may re-cut
  • Not worth 4K: TikTok, Reels and Shorts, where re-compression hides the difference
  • Middle ground: 1080p Full HD at 0.608 credits a second looks sharp everywhere and costs half as much

Real prices per second, not per month

Every clip is priced by length and sharpness, and the studio shows the total before you commit. Credits never expire, and a blocked or failed render returns its credits automatically.

  • Fast 360p — 0.137 credits a second: 5s = 0.69, 10s = 1.37
  • HD 720p — 0.405 credits a second: 5s = 2.03, 10s = 4.05
  • Full HD 1080p — 0.608 credits a second: 5s = 3.04, 10s = 6.08
  • 4K — 1.216 credits a second: 5s = 6.08, 10s = 12.16

How the 4K render works

Write the shot or upload a photo, choose 4K and a shape, and the studio queues the job. Vertical 9:16 for phones and landscape 16:9 for screens both render at full resolution. You get an MP4 you can download, post or keep as your master.

  • Prompt to video, or animate a photo you already own
  • Vertical 9:16 and landscape 16:9
  • Up to 10 seconds per 4K render
  • Private by default — nothing is published unless you choose to

When 1080p is the smarter pick

A 10-second Full HD clip costs 6.08 credits against 12.16 in 4K, and it is the resolution most platforms actually serve your viewers. Make the 4K version for the screen it will play on, and the 1080p version for everywhere else.

How to make an AI video in three steps

  1. Step 1

    Describe the shot

Type the scene, or upload a JPG, PNG or WebP photo to animate.

  2. Step 2

    Pick 4K and a shape

Choose 4K for large screens or Full HD 1080p for social, then 16:9 or 9:16.

  3. Step 3

    Check the price and render

The studio shows the credit cost first. Generate, then download the MP4 from your studio.

Frequently asked questions

Can I generate 4K video with AI?

Yes. Pick 4K in the studio and Expivid renders the clip at 3840×2160 from your prompt or photo. 4K is available for clips up to 10 seconds — longer videos are rendered at Full HD 1080p instead.

How much does a 4K AI video cost?

4K costs 1.216 credits per second, so a 5-second clip uses 6.08 credits and a 10-second clip uses 12.16. The exact price is shown in the studio before you press generate, and a blocked or failed render returns its credits.

Is 4K better than 1080p for Instagram or TikTok?

For a phone feed, rarely. Instagram and TikTok re-compress vertical video hard, so 720p or 1080p usually looks the same once posted. 4K earns its cost when the clip plays on a large screen, a TV, a website hero or a trade-show display, or when you want a master copy to re-cut later.

Can I make a 15 or 30 second video in 4K?

Not in one render — 4K tops out at 10 seconds. For a longer 4K-style piece, render the clip at 1080p (0.608 credits a second) and chain the parts, or make a 10-second 4K hero shot and cut it into a longer edit yourself.

Do I need a subscription to make 4K videos?

No. Expivid runs on credits that never expire, so you pay for the 4K clips you actually render instead of a monthly plan. Failed renders are refunded automatically.
