Using an AI video maker for product ads
Product video used to mean a studio, a turntable and a day of lighting. A clean product photo plus an AI video maker gets you a usable five-second reveal in minutes — if you keep the product itself untouched.
Start from your best photo
Image to video is the right tool here, because the photo becomes the opening frame. That keeps the label, colour and shape of your product accurate instead of letting the model invent them.
- Sharp, well-lit photo with the product fully in frame
- Plain or simple background so the motion reads clearly
- No heavy filters — the model will amplify them
- One product per clip, centred
Prompt the camera, not the product
Ask for movement around the object: "slow orbit around the bottle, soft studio light sweeping across the label" or "gentle push in on the shoe, dust motes in a shaft of window light". Do not ask the model to change the product, add text or invent packaging — that is where inaccuracy creeps in.
Three clips that cover most ads
- The reveal — slow push in from a wider frame to the product
- The rotation — a gentle orbit showing form and finish
- The context shot — the product in use or in its setting
Keep claims out of the render
Add prices, offers and features as text in your editor or ad platform, not inside the prompt. Generated text is unreliable and a misspelled claim in a paid ad is expensive.
Format for the placement
9:16 for Reels, TikTok and Stories placements; 16:9 for YouTube pre-roll and website heroes. Render each format separately rather than cropping, and keep every clip between five and eight seconds so it survives feed compression and short attention.
Build a library, not one-offs
Queue a reveal, a rotation and a context shot from the same photo in one session. Each render is saved with a title and description in the gallery, which makes it easy to find the version that performed and render more like it.
